Available now — Vireo 4.0 Open Source Pre-Release

Texas Digital Library (TDL) is pleased to announce the open source release of Vireo 4.0. TDL will host a webinar in August to demonstrate and discuss the new features in Vireo 4.0.

Vireo 4.0 development is managed in the Vireo Github and its features are described in the Vireo user documentation.  The documentation is being expanded and edited over the next few months, and training videos will also be available soon.

  • Customizable submission workflows
  • Controlled vocabularies
  • Improved metadata based on the TDL Metadata Working Group’s report and updated guidelines for ETDs
  • Enhanced field control for filtering, flagging, and tracking
